I called the front desk at 1 PM and asked if it would be ok if I checked in a little early. I was told there was a room available, and I was free to check in. My daughter and I walked in with our suitcase, and once I went to the front desk, the woman at the front desk rudely told me there was not a king suite available and to check back in 30 minutes. She didn't apologize for having told me otherwise on the phone. When I came back, she was still very rude. She acted like checking us in was a chore. There was no smile, nothing. My daughter and I couldn't believe it. Our room, however, on the small size, was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and we slept well. Housekeeping was friendly and highly accommodating. When we saw that the rude woman had gone home for the day, we felt relief. I We didn't want to have to deal with her again. I showed her nothing but kindness, and she still had a chip on her shoulder. She needs a severe attitude adjustment if she wants to succeed in working a customer service position. My opinion, at least.

The breakfast was a typical hotel buffet style continental breakfast. It was a small selection, but everything was hot or fresh. The location was convenient to two main highways, making it easy to get anywhere in Waco quickly and had shopping, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. We were able to pull up our Netflix account on the TV and relax when we got back to our room after a long day of sightseeing. It was hot outside, but we had complete control of our room temperature and the AC worked great. Tru had the 3 C's covered - clean, comfortable, and convenient. We have used Tru by Hilton in several locations. They have been consistently excellent for us.

It was clean and spacious and since I'm in a wheelchair due to the amputation of my right leg they really accommodated us very well. The shower bench was terrific and already in the bathroom and attached to the bathtub very quickly and with ease! All the bars in the bathroom were awesome and the shower was amazing! The welcome on the TV screen sent it over the top of more than a 10! Thank you for a very nice stay! We were here for a viewing and funeral of my cousin who died suddenly and your staff was great about it. Your breakfast was delicious as well! We will definitely be back and stay at more TRU hotels!

I loved the location relative to restaurants and shops and the facilities and rooms were great. Everything was very clean and the room was terrific. The bed was very comfortable and the window shade kept out the light. The tv was big and the lamp had a dimmer, which was a great idea. Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed this hotel with its bright decor and colors. The deco was very modern and lively. The bedding was very soft and mattresses extremely comfortable. It was in the perfect location to stay a couple nights. Pricing was very good for a newer and very comfortable hotel.
